Faith In A Living And Loving God!

This man is explained about in II Thess. 3:2..."And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith."
Our faith simply requires faith.

July Camping Trip: Antelope Lake, CA
Last week, our family took a camping trip to Antelope Lake, CA. I have had the camping bug since late spring so I was very happy to go! :)
We have so much great camping equipment (since my hubby works at a sporting goods store-he gets lots of things on discount and at employee auctions) that it is fun to go. We have gotten into Dutch oven cooking in the past year or so...we like to make new and different camping dishes instead of the typical hot dogs. :) This trip, we made breaded tilapia fillets with hash brown casserole..."Mountain Man Breakfast"..."Eggs under Fire" breakfast..."Combat Chili". Mmm...along with fresh coffee made in the perculator over the campfire...hot cocoa with big marshmallows...s'mores. Great memories are made with great food! :)
Papa Tastet and Eric did some fishing. Addie went fishing with Papa and caught a big catfish that she was very proud of! :) We let the girls and the dogs play in the lake. This was Belle's first road trip and she loved it! She was right up in the front with the wind in her face loving it! Max doesn't do so well...he just turns in circles and can't settle down. Poor baby!
We took a scenic drive back home and my hubby and I loved it! After being so busy the last few months, we enjoyed just riding in the truck together, talking and enjoying the scenery!
We love camping! :)
Same You...New Perspective

Same You, New Perspective
What was that negative stigma that haunts you from your past, that you have a difficult time letting go of?
You go through life as if you are wearing a badge for the world to see-"Abused," "Unlovable," "Forsaken," "Fat," "Ugly," "Liar," "Unfaithful," "Useless," "Undeserving," "Childless," "Stupid," "Impure," "Divorced." You may have acquired these stigmas by circumstances beyond your control or as a result of your own bad decisions.
Nevertheless, you cannot seem to go about life viewing yourself in any other light than the person you first saw yourself as long ago.
It does not matter that God sees you differently. It makes no difference that all those around you view you in a better light. You still live in the darkness of who you think you are.
If only she could have seen herself as God did, she would have had the patience to wait for His timing.
Women today are making choices driven by pain from their past.

Fourth of July Activities...
On July 4th Sunday, we had a great service at SVBC! We enjoyed singing and preaching in our morning service. After the service, we joined Liberty Baptist Church at the park and shared in the food and fellowship. We had a delicious picnic with hamburgers and hot dogs provided by both churches. Then both churches challenged each other in two volleyball games. It is wonderful to share in the freedoms of our country with fellow Americans and Christians! After the picnic, we enjoyed having some of our church people over to our home.

June Family Event: Reno Rodeo

Our rodeo is very patriotic...remembering our soldiers as well as a prayer to our Saviour in the beginning. The announcer even mentioned the beautiful sunset that evening with the clouds and mountains and gave the glory to our Lord! My father-in-law was amening up a storm next to me! :)
The barrel racing, the rodeo clown, the horses, the bull riding...it was a great family night!

Video: Addie's First Piano Special
On Sunday, our 6 yr. old daughter, Addie, played the piano for the offering for the first time. She started piano lessons at the end of May this year. We are proud of her using her talent for the Lord and I thought I would share the video with you!

My Dog, Max, and Loyalty

Lately, my thoughts on loyalty have come from my dog. We have a male border collie named Max. When my husband first brought home Max, I wasn't a happy camper. That is just being honest. :) Small children and puppies = Lots of responsibility for Mommy.
